Black Throated Thrush

Again a bird at great distance and hard to get a good image but well photographed. This bird stayed a few days at Buckton.

Forge Valley

A selection of common birds from around the bird tables. Marsh tits not so common and wary at the best of times, nuthatch always stunning, great tits dominant, robin and grey wagtail flitting around the edges, always worth a visit!

Smew

Finally found the pool these birds were on at tophill low. Again they dont give themselves up easily, these two were at the extreme end and difficult at such a distance.

Waxwings

These birds are always a magnetic attraction, used to waste rolls of film but they gladden the heart after a dull cold winter. These spent some time feeding on rowan in Pickering.
